Vania is tutoring my daughter in Math (Algebra I, Algebra II & Trig). I was very clear with my daughter that I want her to be comfortable with whatever tutor we choose, because I want no distractions from the learning process. At our initial meeting, my daughter was smiling and engaged in the conversation, telling me that my teen liked the tutor. She did not sit there on her phone while Vania and I spoke, rather was an active part of the conversation, which is big for her. At the first lesson, Vania reviewed my daughter's knowledge base, then made recommendations on how she could remember key rules and principles. She was clearly comfortable with the subject matter and knew her stuff. She was also very patient with my daughter as she tried to remember the information, as she has been off all summer and also did not have math last semester in high school. We are quite pleased and my daughter feels Vania can help her a lot. She even asked me if she can continue tutoring with Vania even after the school year starts. Great start!
